On May 22, Academy Street Elementary fifth graders celebrated Career Day! Guidance Counselor Ms. Moricci taught a lesson on various career options. Then, students filled out a career survey and based on their results, were assigned a career to explore.
During their time in the library, Ms. Salvatore helped students to research their careers further and make signs and brochures in Canva. Then, with the help of Ms. Whitney, students made clay sculptures to represent their chosen occupation.
On Career Day, the fifth graders lined up with their sculptures, allowing the school’s second graders to ask them questions about their chosen careers.
