The James Wilson Young Middle School Science Olympiad team competed at the Eastern Long Island Regional Science Olympiad Competition at R.C. Murphy Junior High School, earning a total of 13 medals!
This year, 25 students competed in 18 science and engineering events. Their overall fourth place finish qualified them for a second consecutive trip to the State Championships in Syracuse on April fifth and sixth. “It was an amazing day,” said Adviser Krista Peterson. “I was truly impressed with their teamwork and dedication to their goal of making it back to States!”
