Bayport-Blue Point School District

The end of the school year was filled with pride and nostalgia for Blue Point, Academy Street and Sylvan Avenue students, faculty and parents who attended elementary school moving-up ceremonies this June. Each ceremony was slightly different, but the same sentiments held true. Principals and faculty members took the time at these momentous occasions to encourage students to always do their best, be kind to others and to always know they have a support system.

Each of the ceremonies was punctuated with musical interludes and speeches from select students and faculty who forecasted a successful academic future at James Wilson Young Middle School. Students also received special awards for their academic achievements.

Each of the ceremonies ended with tearful goodbyes from teachers who wished the new alumni best of luck at middle school.
