Dear BPE Families,

Jon Gordon said, “Every morning you have a choice. Are you going to be a positive thinker or a negative thinker? Positive thinking will energize you.”  The end of the year is tough for some people… maybe it brings people stress; maybe it is overwhelming; maybe it brings sadness to see the year end.  It is the goal of mine, as well as the faculty and staff, to continue to create positive days full of fun and meaningful activities for the students.

Like I said in the beginning of the year, communication is very important in making a positive home-school connection.  There are many ways the school communicates throughout the year. Teachers send home newsletters, letters, and/or emails on a consistent basis and are always willing to meet to discuss any concerns.  As a building, there are many ways to stay informed:

  • Monthly Calendar: In the beginning of the month, a calendar of events going on in the building is sent home.  Keep this in a place where it’s visible as it is a great resource.
  • School Website: This is updated frequently and is also another great place to look for important information.
  • Weekly Email: Every Sunday around 1pm, you will receive an email from me with how the previous week went as well as what’s coming up in the future.
  • Twitter: @BPESchool. This is the best way to see what’s going on in the building on a daily basis. There you will see pictures of students working and having fun in school.  There will also be reminders and updates to keep you informed in a quick way.

I can’t believe there are only two months left this year.  It’s been full of great memories that I hope students will carry with them through the summer.  There will be many more to come including field trips, assemblies, class parties, moving up ceremonies, field day, and more!

Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to a great end of the school year.

Sincerely,
